The Cured in Place installation for Rebecca St. running through the heart of Oakville, Ontario and crossing over a tributary of Lake Ontario known as 16 Mile Creek offered a scheduling challenge for Capital Sewer Services Inc. The Rebecca bridge provides a support structure for sewer/water and utility lines, which in turn were suspended over the Oakville Yacht Club and Marina. To complicate matters more the work had to be completed within a 5 day window to allow for a number of upcoming summer festivals and events.

Once traffic control was established, a complicated twin 12” bypass system was installed, traffic ramps provided access for the local fire station without the need for eThe sewer line was then cleanedand inspected to ensure all debris had been removed. Tinstallation took place at night to minimize the impact on the area’s flow of traffic. The installation commenced Wednesday evening and was completed by Friday morning.

The 227 meter installation of 900mm diameter pipe was performed without disruption of any kind to traffic, emergency services and local residents.
